I am a therapist offering sessions for individuals, children, adolescents, families and group therapy. I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California majoring in mental health with a minor in military lifestyle. My minor allowed me to focus on the impact and treatment approaches for post-traumatic stress disorder, reintegration, and maintaining a close relationship in the family despite separation and challenges. Each of my education goals have been based on my personal life experience. I served in the US Air Force in South Georgia where I met my husband. Upon my discharge I was able to have and stay home with our five children for eight years as I was earning my degrees and living abroad. I have been able to build relationships across the world with diverse and fantastic people that have taught me a great amount.
In my clinical experience I have had the pleasure of assisting clients with addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-worth, parenting strains, marriage counseling, body image, balancing the complexities of life, and many more. I recognize that individuals are complex and require an approach that allows their strengths to come forward and lead them. While also acknowledging that each person has parts that scare that need to be acknowledge and accepted without shame. I am comfortable working with individuals from many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and individuals of the LGBTQ community and alternative lifestyles. I pride myself in my confidentiality and will provide a setting for each client to be free from judgement as I advocate for them to continue to grow.
I enjoy learning with each client about their personal thought process and emotional pattern and how it can be altered to allow their full potential to be reached. Please, feel free to contact me with any further questions or to seek to a session so we can meet.
